DEFRA’s labour shortfall survey – deadline approaches


The time limit for completion of a Division of the Surroundings, Meals and Rural Affairs (Defra) survey that can assess the labour shortfall in various sectors, together with agriculture and veterinary, is approaching.
Defra launched the snapshot survey final week and it stays open till Thursday, November 18.
The survey is designed to gather correct and consultant knowledge on the present state of the labour market in key sectors of the UK financial system.
This knowledge will then be used to evaluate the extent to which the availability of labour meets demand and to grasp the principle drivers behind any labour scarcity.
Dairy farmers are urged to fill within the 10-minute survey to focus on the labour difficulty within the sector.
Managing director, Royal Affiliation of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF), Matt Knight stated: “Labour scarcity has been a difficulty within the dairy sector for a number of years now.
