Nice British Beef Week (GBBW) will return for a thirteenth yr subsequent month to have fun and promote British beef.

Launching on Sunday, April 23, and operating till Sunday, April 30, GBBW will see farmers, processors, retailers, butchers and cooks unite to share recipes, farming tales and business promotions on beef packs.

Girls in Beef, an organisation of feminine beef farmers co-founded by Devon producer Jilly Greed and Nationwide Farmers’ Union (NFU) president Minette Batters, had been the unique creators and promotors of GBBW.

Girls in Beef mentioned it has chosen the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Establishment (RABI) as its charity for GBBW for 2023.

The week-long celebration of British beef is supported by the Agriculture and Horticulture Improvement Board (AHDB), Pink Tractor, the NFU and RABI.

AHDB advertising and marketing supervisor, Louise Woodward, mentioned GBBW will coincide with King Charles III’s coronation, which make for “loads of alternatives for the British public to have fun their patriotism as a part of GBBW”.

“We need to have fun scrumptious locally-reared British beef, which is among the many most sustainable on the planet. The UK has some of the local weather pleasant and sustainable beef manufacturing programs on the planet.

“This GBBW, we need to join the good style of British beef with our UK farming credentials.

“And with the launch happening on St George’s Day and the coronation of the brand new King shortly after, we hope there can be an actual sturdy aspect of celebration and satisfaction throughout this yr’s occasion.”
